It should be possible to universally set compression settings to ON. So that all newly created objects are automatically compressed.

Today we have to manually set this on all new objects.

For setups I've seen, enabling compression speeds processing due to the number of reads and writes that Discovery Hub needs to do behind the scenes.  It makes sense to be able to set this option at the project level.

Doug, Sten, related to this, what is the best compression choice DH to reach the best compression?

We've found page compression to be most effective. But it all depends on your type of data and what you try to accomplish. You should consider the overhead of decompressing on reads.
