There's already a description box for all fields in the semantic model. They could be deployed as an attribute description in the model so it can be viewed when hovering over them in Power BI.
There could be a checkbox on the endpoint configuration to have it enabled/disabled.
Having a "Copy description from the source field" button for the semantic field description dialog could also be useful for a simple propagation of description.
I greatly support the copying of descriptions! It is a good idea to have descriptions in MDW so that the meaning of data is clear to all users. In many cases these descriptions would be the same in Semantic Models. Needing to copy descriptions seems a useless hassle, being able to extract them from the source table when setting up a Data Movement to a Semantic Model would be great.
