Following a case we had with support, I'd like to see an official supported repository cleanup feature which would take care of cleaning tables at risk of orphan rows like dbo.InformationSchema, dbo.DataFields, execution logs etc...

Currently we take a backup of the repo and run a script provided by the devs but having something that's officially supported would be great.

Doug I count on your upvote ;-).

Thanks for submitting this, Wim!  It's always a bit of a pain when doing support to have to download/restore backups of repositories that are holding a great deal of outdated information that's not useful to anyone anymore.

Having a cleanup tool would be nice.  It's worth noting that execution logs can be cleared through the Discovery Hub UI, but only one at a time, which is prohibitively slow in most cases.

Doug,

I learned from R&D earlier this year that you can actually multi-select Execution Package Logs in Repository Administration, thus enabling you to delete many at once.

The trick is, you cannot multi-select with the checkbox.  You must click on the text of a row, hold shift, and click the text of another row.

Maybe this isn't what you were referring to, but it should be helpful to someone out there!

Hi David,

Thank you for posting that here!  That's very helpful and good news indeed.  I still think this user interface could use some serious improvement, but that makes it much more usable.

Best regards,
