We need scripting in the tabular model in the same fashion as it is possible in the OLAP model meaning that we can add scripts at different levels as well as pre and post scripts on the model it self.

While TimeXtender has never promised to automate every part of the BI stack, what it has always delivered in the past is the ability to seamlessly integrate custom work into the project where native features weren't available.  Right now, the only option for custom development in Tabular (aside from measures) is to run custom SSIS scripts against the Tabular model. Unfortunately, this approach simply cannot change or add key tabular functions.

I know that developer resources are limited, but if features like partitioning 1 2, security 1 2, setting processing options, calculation groups, drill-through, many-to-many relationships, or multi-language support aren't going to be added, we really need this feature to fill the gap.

To reiterate: for many of these features, there is currently no automated workaround.  For the others, the workaround involves laborious SSIS development work.  Using a script feature like this to modify TMSL/XMLA is often very challenging to do, so I'm not super-excited about this as a solution, but we need something to address these gaps.
