I am using the Field Validation to test our ETL. Using this as source data: And these rules in the DSA: And this query to check for errors: I get the following result: The _L table is linking to the records in the _R table that were removed when they failed the validation step on FIRST_NAME. Also the Warning level notification is not present in the table. As it stands the _L, _R, and _M tables as joined above are showing incorrect or at least confusing information. Am I using them as they were intended to be used, and has anyone done anything to get around this? Thanks, Mark
Is it possible to create a clustered column-store index in TimeXtender 20.103.64?
Once in a while my scheduled job does not finish without an error. It just stops doing anything. My event log states that around the time my job stopped running, both the server and the scheduler started. I do not find anything in the logs where it says the server and scheduler stopped running, so I have no idea why they restarted. Would the server/scheduler being down explain why the job stops running rather than failing and providing an error? Does anybody experience the same? Any ideas where I can find more information on why the server/scheduler stopped or restarted? And possibly how I can prevent this of course?
Hi! Can you clearify that if I run a full load ( on a source based incremental table), it doesn't update the _I table with the current max value? In our scenario, I run a full load very early in the morning and then run incremental loads during the day. But I have seen that the first incremental load of the day takes a very long time to run which I suspect is due to there being a lot of changes since the last incremental load, i.e. the full load's transfer is ignored by the incremental load? So the first incremental load, more or less, transfers the same data that the full load did? Version 19.11.7.64 Regards Niclas
I have enabled simple mode on a project with 1 data source and 1 Business Unit. I have also updated the settings for all tables to support simple mode: When i try to deploy the project i get the error: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParser.dll' or one of its dependencies. How does "Table classification" in Table Settings affect a table ?Can't find any information in the user guide or google. For which cases "Dimension- /Fact Table (normal + large) are use full ? Many thanks for your help. Cheers Alex
Hi, I need more information on how i can do continuous integration in discovery hub.
We started to use the configuration continue without data in case a transfer fails. The feature works fine, and we also see the message that one or more datasources fail. My question is, how can we easily see which datasources failed, and with what error message?
How do I tell Discovery Hub to use a clustered columnstore index for my fact table in Azure Synapse?
When I do Deploy and Execute on my fact table, I get the following exception: Must declare the scalar variable "@batchFirstId".Details:SQL Server: 'abea5b3595a5-0.tr624.northeurope1-a.worker.database.windows.net,11014'SQL Procedure: ''SQL Line Number: 1SQL Error Number: 137Must declare the scalar variable "@batchFirstId".Module: .Net SqlClient Data ProviderSystem.Data.SqlClient.SqlException at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection, Action`1 wrapCloseInAction) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj, Boolean callerHasConnectionLock, Boolean asyncClose) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.TryRun(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj, Boolean& dataReady) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteNonQueryTds(String methodName, Boolean async, Int32 timeout, Boolean asy
I have a question about multi environments and transferring. In addition to production, we have set up a development and test environment in TimeXtender with separate databases. This all works great. However, we want to work with a limited set of data in the development environment. We don't want to constantly have to wait for an execution in the development environment. We also do not want the test and development environment to fill up the hard disk too much. Now the question: is it possible to use a filter (for example load all data from last 30 days) in the development environment (in stead of incremental load) and to continue to use it incrementally load in the test and production environment? The filter should not overwrite the incremental setting during a transfer! So we want transferring data from different environments with different load settings.
After manually executing a package, where do I find a log that shows the # of rows processed per table? I'm trying to verify my incremental loads are working properly
Hi, We use TX as a part of our value chain of systems using data. We need to programatically be able to check if the execution is done, so the following jobs can start.I know TX can send an email when completed, but we really do not want to build the check on emails. Does anyone have a good idea on how to do this? Hope you can help. Best regards Michael Vaisgaard
Hi, I have to do something like this in TX: If productno > 0 then 'Product A' else lookup in table productnames I cannot figure out how to do this in TX. Hope someone can help. Best regards Michael Vaisgaard

Data in the context of GDPR or sensitive to stock markets require attention in the datawarehouse with regard to securing the data, in some cases this also to the people developing the datawarehouse. We have been looking into several options, and now plan to do a proof of concept on transparent data encryption. Anybody experience with securing sensitive data in the datawarehouse, either with this setting or in other ways?
Is it possible to execute a package from the command line of TX Remote Control?
I know you can lock a project from editing, but is there a way to password protect a project we install on a client's server so they can't view how we built it? We've spent hundreds of hours building an ERP integration that we want to sell multiple times and don't want a client or competitor to simply rebuild it by exporting, or just looking at the project design and mimicking it.
Hi, I am trying to find out how i can schedule deployment from development server to integration server at a particular time on everyday. So, whatever changes I am making in the development will be deployed automatically to integration server. Please let me know in case any one has idea regarding the same. For clarification please ask.
Hi Team, Is it posible from TX Oracle connector to export data to a materialized view in Oracle instead of a table ?
The TX oracle connector drops and creates the complete table during export. Is there a way that we can control this behaviour and the table be not dropped ? This is because we need to move data from Staging Orcle to Main tables based on Triggers and if the table is dropped by TX then the trigger is of no use.
How to write 'case' in Custom SQL, please let me know with example. Here is the situation (SQL query) that I need to perform on Date table & likes to update 'IND' column where DateValue is default column in Date table selectcase when GETDATE()<=DateValue then 'N' else 'Y' end as 'IND' ,* from <table_name> order by DateValue desc
Can you pass project variable values at run time via the command line? We need to trigger the package and pass on user defined variable values that has been used in the package creation. Like a date that a user can pass whenever he intends to run a package.
So based on what I'm reading about TX, it seems to me that even if only say 5 records changed on a source file, TX loads the entire source table into a Raw table (all 40 gigs of it) and then finds the 5 records. Is there a way to get it to just pull the 5 changed records into TX? My incremental executions seem to take about 50% of the time of a full execution even though there is little to no data change.
